Have you ever seen an advert for your phone provider or television subscription service that promises you a fantastic deal…only to find the small print says ‘new customers’ only? The frustration and annoyance of being taken for granted by these companies is often very great.
I recently switched phone companies to one that I recognised had turned this concept on its head and rewarded customers for their loyalty. I didn’t find this out through a multi-million pound advertising campaign; instead it was through word of mouth (free of charge to any business delivering an awesome service).
Rewarding your best customers really does work if you’re looking to build a loyal customer base over a long period of time.
