For most of us the perfect business idea is unlikely to come from a ‘light bulb’ moment. If you’re sat waiting for this to happen then you could be waiting for a long, long time.
I’m an advocate of taking a more pro-active approach. Don’t wait for the ideal opportunity to arise, just start somewhere! Starting a business, even when it’s not perfect, can open up many possibilities that you would not have been able to access otherwise.
Many of my most prosperous clients have achieved success this way. They are proactive, doing their research, delivering services and building their reputation, on the back of which fantastic opportunities reveal themselves. Many of these opportunities we hadn’t even considered beforehand.
In business you make your own luck. But even then, you’ve got to be flexible and willing to take risks to capitalise on opportunities that do arise.
Where will you begin your journey?
